Student Organization Training and Education

To remain in compliance, student organizations must complete training and education requirements.

In addition to completing registration on Get Involved, student organizations must attend training and education sessions throughout the year. Organization presidents, treasurers, and advisors must complete asynchronous training modules to remain in compliance, along with in-person education sessions.

Organization Requirements

An organization must have a representative attend either the ENGAGE Conference or two workshops throughout an academic year to remain in compliance and eligible for registration.

ENGAGE Conference: The Student Organization Playbook

ENGAGE Conference 2026 will take place on Saturday, September 12, with sessions held throughout Talley Student Union.

ENGAGE Conference

The ENGAGE Conference is a student organization training event held at the beginning of each Fall semester. In a “choose your own adventure” style, you can attend multiple sessions throughout the day and learn about topics such as organizational management, legal services, finances, and event planning!

This conference is a great way to meet other student org leaders, learn new skills, and receive important updates and information regarding campus policies and procedures.

Student Organization Workshops

For those who need a bit more flexibility, One-Time Leadership Workshops are a great way to take your leadership skills to the next level while fulfilling your student organization requirements. These one-off workshops are held throughout the academic year on different days and times to accommodate various student schedules. Workshop content both mirrors the ENGAGE Conference and builds upon it.

An organization must have a representative attend two workshops throughout an academic year if they do not attend the ENGAGE Conference to remain in compliance and eligible for registration.
