Pack Days of Service

More than a day of volunteering, Pack Days of Service is a gateway to lifelong civic and community engagement.

Working together to serve our communities

Pack Days of Service are Student Leadership and Engagement’s signature series of campus- and community-wide service events designed to bring the NC State community together. Held throughout the academic year, Pack Days of Service provide students, faculty, and staff with opportunities to engage in high-impact, one-day volunteer projects that address community-identified needs while building lasting partnerships with the surrounding Raleigh neighborhoods, communities, and nonprofit organizations.

Each Pack Day of Service highlights a different community issue and connects participants with organizations making a difference across the Triangle. Whether participating in a neighborhood cleanup, supporting food security initiatives, or honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. through service, participants contribute to meaningful community impact while developing a deeper understanding of civic responsibility.

Students work in the University Towers dining facility to pack lunches through the Food Recovery Network.

On wellness day, join Student Leadership and Engagement and Resiliency and Community Support for Pack the Neighborhood: Community Cleanup. Focusing on areas and neighborhoods north of Hillsborough Street, students, faculty, staff and campus and community partners will come together to care for the community we call home. Take time to get outside, connect with others and support your well-being while making a positive difference in our neighborhood. Help us be good neighbors, strengthen connections with our surrounding communities and engage with four of NC State’s elements of wellness: purpose, physical, social and community.

The group will meet at the Memorial Belltower at 9 a.m. and will depart together. Participants will receive free lunch, snacks and water.

Registration is requested, but not required.
