Discover St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands

This team will travel to St. John, the smallest of the three U.S. Virgin Islands and home to Virgin Islands National Park, to engage in service centered on stewardship of this valuable natural resource. We will work in collaboration with Friends of Virgin Islands National Park to support trail maintenance and historical site stewardship efforts. This service will be hands-on, physically challenging, and will involve immersion in the beautiful forests of the national park.

Lodging for this experience will be at the volunteer campground, a three-minute walk from beautiful Cinnamon Beach, where the team will stay in tents that are situated on raised wooden platforms and equipped with cots for sleeping. Come prepared to be immersed in nature, build close bonds with your team, and learn about the rich history of the US Virgin Islands National Park!

Meet your Team Leaders

Our student Team Leaders are chosen in a competitive process to lead our ASB Experiences and have spent extensive time prior to the trip engaging with our ASB Team Leader Development courses. Team Leaders co-create the trip experience alongside professional staff in Student Leadership and Engagement. They learn how to plan all aspects of an ASB Experience, from the trip itinerary and reflection activities to risk management procedures and meal planning.
